Cheap chocolate at Rite Aid – look for the coupons!

I actually went Rite Aid yesterday to try to find the roll on type Biofreeze for my husband.  The last few times that I have been to Walmart, they have not had it.  I had a $2 off $15 Catalina coupon from my last purchase too.

The Biofreeze was just over $15 … but I didn’t take into account that my silver discount would take it below $15.  Anyway, I saw a box of Hazelnut M&M’s sitting on the counter with 50¢ off yellow stickers on them … AND a tag that said, “buy $12 get $3 back in rewards”.  Well, you know what I did then!

I purchased 10 (the register will only allow so many coupons in a transaction).  Then I did a separate transaction for 6 more.  The ones shown do not have a coupon on them because the cashier was still working on them and gave me the ones without the coupons.  The coupons could be on any items in the store.  They usually place them when the best buy dates start getting close.

Breakdown of the candy:

Purchase 16 77¢ sale candies with 50¢ yellow coupons on them (must be done in 2 transactions due to coupon limitations).

Your total for both transactions will be $12.32.

$8 will be taken off with the 16 50¢ coupons.

Your combined total will be $4.32 after coupons.

You will earn $3 for your $12 purchase.

So like getting 16 for $1.32 after rewards … or 8¢ each!
