Corona Virus Stock UP! KEEP CALM – a message from Penny Puss!

This is my take on the Corona Virus mess right now with stores having nothing left on their shelves.  It started with the greedy resellers, not just trying to make a buck, but price-gouging to try to bring in crazy profits.  This is wrong, in my opinion,

What happened next is that people see items they need being in short supply, so they start buying a little more … or a LOT more.  Now it seems like everyone is stocking up on everything because they are afraid there will be a short supply and won’t be able to get what they need.

UPDATE: It looks like Amazon and Walmart are both trying to stop the price-gouging that was going on. It looks like many diapers are back in stock and I am sure other items will be back in stock soon too. Hopefully this means that things will return to “somewhat” normal.  If you can’t find something, let me know and I will try to locate it for you.

KEEP CALM!   The reason for the school closings and other large gathering cancellations are just to slow down the Corona Virus (covid-19) from spreading so fast.  We are in flu season already.  If everyone gets it at once, then hospitals will be overrun and there will be a shortage of supplies.  So, wash your hands, and if possible, use hand sanitizer when you don’t have access to soap and water.

With that said, if you are finding that your stores are out of items that you need, you can try online stores such as Amazon.  But, check prices as Amazon can change prices at any time.

I am not posting any particular items right now, but I want you to know a trick.  Some items on Amazon allow you to sign up for an email when the item is back in stock.  Use that feature!

Also, check out Prime Pantry if your local store shelves are out of staple products.

I am not trying to spread panic as there is no reason to panic.  If you can, also make sure that your friends and family have what they need.  We are all in this together.  If people don’t have soap to wash their hands, they will pass on the virus easier … so one person hoarding all the supplies in your neighborhood does no good for slowing the spread of the virus.  If you don’t have Prime, this might be the time to see if you qualify for a free 30-day trial.  Not only is it great for free shipping on many items, but you also get select free movies which might help with keeping your family busy through the recent school closings.
