DG order pickup $5 off $25 fail.

So, it’s $5 off $25 Saturday and I ordered on my husband’s app for a pickup as well as my app.  My order was  all in stock and correct, his was missing the Triscuits.  They were out of stock

So, since the total was under $25, the $5 Saturday coupon was kicked off.  The total was $18 instead of $16 and minus 2 boxes of Triscuits.  I told the employee that I was picking up my order, but that my husband wasn’t getting his because it was 2 items less but the price was $2 more.

My local store has really nice employees.  And, silly me, I returned the whole order and didn’t even keep the free (after coupon) toothpaste.  Yes, I get confused easily.

So, she scanned the barcode at the bottom of the “order completed” email and returned each item.  She had to price adjust each item since some coupons came off.  I’m not sure I’d waste my $5 off $25 next time on a gamble though, but it was nice to see how the returns worked.
