Dollar General 3-day sale everyone has been waiting for! Many buy 1 and get 2 free offers!

I’m pretty sure you all are excited about this sale too!  Starting today and running through Saturday, Dollar General is having an awesome buy 1 get 2 free sale on certain already reduced clearance items!

These are the included items:

  • Select swim and summer toys excludes all toys with color dot on tags, excludes electronics, and excludes ASOTV items.
  • Select lawn and garden.  Excludes ice chests, coolers, charcoal, propane, lighter fluid, fans, potting soil, hoses, grills, and heaters.
  • Select spring and summer home.  Look for the green dot on the tag.
  • Summer apparel, shoes, and accessories.  Look for the yellow and white dot on tag.  Excludes “Must Have” shoes and excludes all socks.
An example of how this should work.
You purchase (3) $30 green dot comforters.  Your store is at clearance of 40% off green dot.
Your 1st comforter will be $18 – and you will get the other 2 free.  $18 divided by 3.  You will pay $6 per comforter.
Some things to keep in mind.
  • Separate your purchases/transactions into like-priced items.  If you purchase 3 comforters at $30 and 3 dishes at $2, the lowest 4 will most likely be free, but if you purchase 3 comforters in a transaction the other 2 comforters should be free.  
  • Buy in 3’s – there will be no additional discount on the 4th or 5th.
  • ONLY the categories listed are included.  Red dot and red diamond and others not mentioned are NOT in this sale.  You may see someone getting these items in a Facebook group or other place online, but look closely at the receipt.  It is usually due to the “markdown cart” button that the cashier uses to get a discount.  You are NOT DUE this discount.
  • The percentage off clearance discount is different by store, so what you pay from store to store will vary.
