Dollar General $5 off $25 ALL DIGITAL scenarios for Saturday 9/12

These deals are valid Saturday 9/12/20 using the $5/$25 coupon.

I have more info below for anyone new to using digitals at Dollar General.

Remember to scan your items with the DG app while in store to verify the price and digital coupon still applies. Your subtotal before coupons needs to at least $25 before coupons but AFTER instant savings for the $5/$25 to apply. Digital coupons are one time use.

I made up several scenarios but mix and match items to fit your needs and available coupons.

For the next scenario, maybe you and a friend both need diapers, but you are both low on cash, maybe go in together on a deal to take advantage of the 5/25 and instant savings. Remember instant savings deduct first. You need to be at $25 after instant savings for the $5/$25 coupon to still apply.

 

This dog food scenario is a great example of how sometimes you pay less when buying more. The 35lb bag of dog food is $15.95 after digital coupon if bought by itself. But by adding a few items with coupons and the 5/25 you pay $2.50 LESS for everything than just the dog food.

 

 

 

Paper products are still hard to find but if your store has them in stock, this is a great price. Just remember, the instant savings deducts first. You have to be at $25 after instant savings for the $5/$25 to still apply.

How to use digital coupons at Dollar General:

  • Go to the DG App or DG Coupons on their website and make an account with your email and phone number.
  • “Clip” the coupons to your account.
  • When making a purchase, enter your phone number into the pin pad while the cashier scans your items.
  • Once you have entered your phone number, the cashier can hit total and your digitals will deduct.

If using a $5 off $25 digital coupon, your total needs to be at least $25, BEFORE coupons but AFTER instant savings. Tax does not count toward the $25 total. Hand over any manufacturer paper coupons after digitals have applied.
If using a $5 off $25 paper coupon, have the cashier scan it prior to applying digital coupons. Then enter your phone number for digital coupons to apply. Last, hand over any manufacturer paper coupons.
**Scan items with the app to double check you have the digital coupon clipped and it is still attaching properly.**

*Not everyone will have every digital. You may not have received it. Or you didn’t clip it in time. Or you already used it.

*Prices may vary by location or items may be on clearance. So the price I show may be different than at your store.

*I strongly encourage you to use the DG app to scan items at your store to verify price and coupon is attaching properly.

*Occasionally the app does not show a coupon attaching when scanned from home, but will when scanned at the store. If I have it in a scenario I confirmed it at time of posting.

*Occasionally in your app “list” it will not deduct the $5/$25 coupon for your final cost. It happens to me but it does indeed deduct at the register!

*Digital coupons are one time use!
