Dollar General Clearance Event starts Friday!

The Dollar General Clearance Event that starts this Friday is only on select categories.  Of course, they could change it at any time.  We only post the information we get.  We have no affiliation with Dollar General.  They have been known to switch things up at the last minute … or even half way through a sale, but as for now, this is what is being reported.

Update 5/1:

The Easter UPC below is scanning at 25¢ now and here is the UPC for one of the $30 rolled rugs (following brown dot) that is now scanning $1.50 for me!  Of course, you have to find the rugs as they are probably getting harder to find now.  Again, check the UPC’s with the Dollar General App to verify prices at your stores.

Rug UPC

Update:  I have been told by some that this may be canceled due to Covid-19.  Well, we can all check on Friday morning.  This UPC is for a reg $5 item.  It is now 90% off and should scan at 50¢.  If the clearance event is a go, it should scan with your DG app on Friday, May 1st at 25¢.

Easter UPC

The Dollar General Clearance Event is set for May 1st through May 4th.  The following categories ONLY are included at this time and should ring an extra 50% off:

  • Easter – including Easter “stationery” which probably just means plates, napkins, and cups.  Easter is already 90% off with Easter candy being 70% off.
  • Brown dot home – which is 90% off right now.
  • Blue dot and gray dot clothing, shoes, and accessories which are on a schedule right now.

The blue dot gray dot schedule is as follows:

$4 and under original price, now 25¢

$5 – $9 original price, now $1.

$10 and up, now $2.

So, those mentioned categories ONLY are supposed to be an extra 50% off during this event.

And, just FYI, I know some people get confused and try to add 50% with the current percent.  You just take 50% off or half-off the price it would ring up before the sale.  You do not add the percentages together.  For example:  Something is originally $10 and 90% off.  That item would be $1.  50% off $1 is 50¢.  Hope that helps!

Happy shopping!
