Dollar General closing 96 DG stores and 45 Popshelf, here is what we know.

Dollar General announced about a week ago that they will be closing 96 of their Dollar General stores and 45 of their Pop Shelf stores – equaling 141 store closures in all.  They are still planning to open hundreds of additional Dollar General stores in different locations, so don’t think they are struggling. 

I believe that I have found (by sleuthing and searching) 22 of the Dollar General stores that will be closing.  I am still working on finding more.

One of the stores that is closing is the Dollar General located at 520 Nicollet Mall Suite 105 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. 

The rest of what I have found can be found in our Penny Puss 2.0 app in the next couple of days.  The Penny Puss 2.0 app includes remodel locations for Dollar General and also the weekly penny list.  Right now, I am devoting most of my time to finding remodel locations.  But, with so many questions about the store closings, I decided to look into it a bit more.
