Dollar General Frozen Penny List (Mondays) … not all stores, YMMV

Starting this coming Monday, April 7, Dollar General should start pennying this long list of frozen food including some ice cream products, pizza, and other meals. 

We have no affiliation with Dollar General and they can change things at any time.  The stores are supposed to pull the items from the sales floor (and most likely dispose of these since they are perishable).  We get what they miss!  Also, sometimes there are additional items that are not listed on the scheduled list that also penny … those we consider surprise pennies and usually a little easier to find them.  We will not know until Monday morning if there are any surprises … so if you store does penny this coming Monday, check other similar items.  Usually you can scan the shelf tags with the DG app without pulling the food out of the freezer.  Then if the shelf tag shows a penny, double check on the actual item.  

If you are new to penny shopping at Dollar General, please do NOT make a mess.  Be sure you are scanning with the CORRECT store set!  Usually these type of penny items roll to other stores the next Monday … and again, the next Monday until they are all pennied.  But, as the time goes on, the stores will sell down or the store will have more time to dispose of these items making it harder to find them. 

Anyway, here is the list of the items that should penny on Monday, April 7 at SELECT stores.  You can check your store by inputting the UPC’s manually in the DG app.  DO NOT assume if your list in the app says 0.00 that the item is a penny … you need to manually enter or scan the item. 

If the food is expired, they do not have to sell it to you.  This seems like the only time they ever check for expiration dates though.

While you are out shopping in the next couple days, check out your store.  One of mine seemed to be out of most of these items while the other still had a good amount of stock.
