Dollar General Military/Veteran Discount! (Registration Required)
Dollar General usually offers an 11% discount (update 20% in November 2021) for military and veterans on the second Wednesday of the month. They are offering it again on September 8th, but with a change in how the offer is given out. They used to keep a barcode to scan near the register.
They now are requiring you to verify your service on your Dollar General account. It’s pretty simple and quick. It took just a couple minutes for both my account and my husband’s account to come back verified. Next, you are supposed to add the coupon to your account. But it may take up to 48 hours for your coupon to show up.
My status says this:
You have been fully verified. Please allow up to 48 hours for your discount to become active. Be sure to + ADD your coupon to your account at this time.
If you are eligible and have already signed up, check your account to see if the coupon is in their. It may show up in your regular digitals at first, but after I clipped it, it is showing under “just for you” discounts.
Here is the link to go verify your account:

UPDATE: This is how it worked for me when I first signed up. I received an email saying that the coupon will be added to my account within 24 hours.
Let us know how it works for you.
Happy shopping!
