Dollar General NCI Home Store Penny Lists!
Dollar General NCI home store:
- What is an NCI home store?
- How do I find an NCI home store?
- Do NCI home stores have penny lists?
- What does NCI mean or stand for? (non-consumable initiative)
These are questions that I am being asked regularly.
There are different kinds of Dollar General stores.
An NCI home store is a store that has an expanded home section including home decor, bath, kitchen, and party. This is an NCI home store:
To find an NCI store, go to the Dollar General app and you will see at the top where you can change the store. Put your zip code in, but do not press enter yet. Then just to the right, you will see where it says “filter”. After clicking on “filter”, you will see a dropdown box – click the box next to DG Finds. This will bring up the NCI home stores.
I tried this on their website and the DG Finds is missing in that list, but it does work in the app.
The NCI home stores have different items and different penny lists than other types of Dollar General stores. Most regular penny lists are also for NCI home stores though.
If you are looking for the NCI penny lists, you can find links in our ongoing penny list post here, as well as more information about penny shopping at Dollar General:

If you shop at Dollar General, their app is almost essential. You can see what digital coupons are available and clip them on your phone. You can also scan for the price of items in the store. Be sure to have the app set at the correct location as prices do vary by store.
Please note (posted 2/3/2021) that Dollar General has recently made changes to their app where items that are priced at a penny do NOT show as a penny now. They show as $0.00 when SCANNED. If they are in your list on the Dollar General app and show $0.00 that does NOT mean that they are a penny. They could be out of stock or low stock … or a penny, but you do not know unless you actually scan the barcode. I have seen a few instances where $0.00 scanned in the app and the item was full price at the register, but 99% of the time the $0.00 when scanned in the app means a penny when taken to the register.
We have no affiliation with Dollar General and they could change their app or penny shopping terms at any time. We just try to get the best information out there so people don’t rush out and end up disappointed.
The Dollar General app is available at the major app stores. You can find out more here:
Happy shopping!
I don’t understand how to do this
