Dollar General: North Carolina Remodeling (50% off select)!

There are a bunch of Dollar General’s in North Carolina that are getting ready to remodel. That does not mean that they all will penny this coming Sunday, but one does have some frozen food at 50% off, and that one will most likely penny this coming Sunday!

Remodels are when the store resets a large portion of their merchandise. Some stores close to remodel, while other stores do not. All stores differ in what is clearanced during a remodel. Although, there are stores that are similar.

For instance, when I was searching for North Carolina remodels, I used the 4 items from my “How to search for a Dollar General remodel” video. If the Swanson pot pie is 50% off, that is usually an indication of more frozen and fresh refrigerated foods also being 50% off! What a savings, right! If you are close to a 50% off frozen store, you might want to grab some bargains with that 50% savings! Get it while it lasts!

There are some exclusions, so use your Dollar General app to verify the prices in your store.

Searching is very time-consuming, so I will not get to every state. I did think that some people would love to get that 50% off savings though.

The only store that I found to be 50% off frozen foods in North Carolina is the one listed first (Seagrove). Also check refrigerated items for 50% off at this one store:

Out of the four items that I searched for on Brickseek to find these remodels, only the Good & Smart rice cakes (upc in video) were marked down at the rest of the North Carolina stores. That means that these are mostly healthy food and / or snack foods that will be 50% off.

Although I found these remodels with Brickseek, you will need to go into your DG app to find the items that are marked down for your particular store. Some items may be different than other stores for remodels, but some items to check for are:

Fiber One Bars
Cheez It Crackers
Lorna Doone Cookies
Good & Smart Rice Cakes
Kind Bars (single and/ or multipacks)
Multipacks of Nabisco Variety Cookies

Also check:
hair brushes
hair ties

I am sure there are other items, but I am just trying to give you some idea of what to search for. Look for items that are 50% off their original price.

There are a few stores that I know of that most likely already remodeled, but it’s always possible to find some of the penny items after they reopen.

Here are a few stores that most recently remodeled:
(Please note, I am not an expert on remodels and am only trying to help you all get some good deals.)

You will need to do your homework if you are going to try to hit the remodel when items penny.
1. Add items to your “list” in the DG app.
2. Check first thing on Sunday morning to see if they all set to 0.00.
3. Go to store. (Possibly wait in really long line)
4. Recheck prices with the DG app while in store.

BE PREPARED! Bring a phone charger, tissues, cough drop or candy, water … you may be a while! Bring a BIG bag in case all the shopping carts are taken.

But, most of all, have fun – be kind – and respect other shoppers and employees! Please do not make a mess!
