Dollar General Penny Shopping Haul from yesterday’s surprise penny list!

I hate that this even has to be said, but I keep hearing stories of shoppers being totally disrespectful.  I know there are a lot of really nice shoppers too, but unfortunately the bad ones make us all look bad.

While penny shopping is fun and you get some awesome stuff for a penny (or even clearance), we really need to respect the employees of the stores.  Why do you think that some employees are “less than friendly” when they find out you are a penny shopper?  It’s because they have to deal with shoppers who are just plain jerks.  I’m sure it’s not just penny shoppers either, shoppers get impatient when lines are too long or for other reasons.  And, the employees are the ones who have to deal with it.

The jerks (who even bother to read this) probably don’t care anyway, and anything I say will be ignored, but I feel a sense of duty to ask shoppers to please respect the employees of the stores that you shop in.  Even nice employees have a bad day now and then.

I say this all the time, Penny Puss is the leader in RESPONSIBLE penny shopping!  We don’t put out “guesses” or condone any type of coupon misuse.  And, we also don’t condone grabbing a cart or box that is OBVIOUSLY being pulled!  I don’t want to be one of these jerks!  I’d actually like to use a stronger word here, but I will refrain.  How would you feel if you just finished pulling everything you were told and someone called you away to get something from a top shelf?  And, some idiot penny shopper came over and took it all?  You would feel like you just wasted a bunch of time … and you might even feel like punching someone.  So I ask you to not be this jerk!  Sure, it’s technically on the sales floor (depending on circumstances) but i really feel it’s a nasty thing to do.  I have been penny shopping for years and have never and would never intentionally grab anything that is being worked on.  And if an employee was clearing a shelf, I might go to another aisle or just move on to another store.

With that said, I had a GREAT day penny shopping yesterday.  The first store, I grabbed a couple things and then the manager saw me and pulled everthing off of the clearance table as I walked toward it.  The next store, I hit gold.  I paid 76¢ for a cart full of penny items!  Still had the 70% off sign up!  Yay, me!

I can’t believe there were so many nice gift sets left!

Here is another good store that I stopped at!  The  hoe is NOT a penny, everything else is though!  Note that it is only the queen air mattress that is following brown dot and is a penny.
