Dollar General Remodel Location List Updates!

First off, if you don’t know by now, we offer Dollar General remodel locations lists for FREE!  Yes, free.  Some sites and groups charge for this information, but we feel that even if you can’t afford to pay for the list, you should have a chance to go.

I find most of the locations myself by searching Brickseek.  This is a long and tedious process.  I do have a few locations “gifted” to me and for that I am extremely thankful.  While I try to find all the locations, I am not an expert, and may miss a few.

Why remodels?  Dollar General remodel locations clearance select merchandise (different for each location) and you can buy these items for 50% off!  Sometimes even their digital coupons will stack with clearance items!

But there is more!  The Sunday prior to the remodel, the items that were store specific clearance for 50% off go to a penny.  YES!  One penny!  The big exception to this is that frozen/refrigerated go no lower than 50% … but other items do!

While the stores are supposed to pull the pennies from the sales floor, they don’t always get pulled … or they miss some.  We find what they miss!  But, be sure to double check by scanning the UPC in the Dollar General app.

I have videos and other posts about how to find a remodel and while it’s basically the same each week, sometimes Dollar General changes out items that clearance during a remodel not marking down items that we normally check.  We normally check the Banquet pot pies, but they are not as reliable any more.

Where is the list? The best way to find the remodel locations is to download the Penny Puss App … it is FREE!  The links in the app take you straight to the remodel location link!  Go to your state and then scroll down about 1/2 way on the page to see the slideshow/video of the locations for that state.

You can see the star tab at the bottom of the Penny Puss APP with DG Penny Finder.  That is where you click to go to the remodel information.

Remember that the locations are updated weekly … and for it to be an updated state, it must be updated (shown on page when updated last) no earlier than Monday of this week.  Always double check my work!  I can and do make mistakes.

You MUST search the DG app yourself for ‘what clearance is included’ by setting it to the correct store and searching for items at 50% off.  Add these items to your list in the DG app.  Check early each Sunday morning to see if these items all or mostly go to 0.00.  Then, to be sure, manually input one of the UPC codes to verify.  That will be the day to go for pennies!
