Dollar General Remodel penny shopping – STOP HIDING STUFF!
So, first off, when a remodel is “upcoming” for your location, it does not mean that it will be the Sunday coming up. You will need to see details in the master list of Dollar General remodel locations to see how to know if your store has pennied … or is going to penny. You cannot always know ahead of time, but sometimes you can.

Okay, so I got that out of the way.
So … I am so sick of hearing that shoppers are hiding stuff or scheming other ways to get the penny deals first. I was sent this picture of one of the many carts that was filled last night (the night before penny day at this location). The carts were set around the store in various places right before closing. Plus, I guess these people were also hiding things in the store. This is wrong.
Did you hear me? THIS IS WRONG!
Who are you that you feel so entitled? I know that me saying something is not going to stop you, because you already know it’s wrong. But I feel obligated to defend legit penny shoppers as well as Dollar General. You are bad people! My hope is that Dollar General employees would see you on their cameras and ban you from their stores. Also, I hope that whoever gets in that store first grabs YOUR cart and buys it if the employees have not already taken it to the back. Nobody needs this type of behavior at what should be a fun shopping experience. It’s always just a few people who ruin it for everyone.
And, yes, the store is supposed to pull the penny items from the sales floor. We get what they miss. Most of us do this without hiding stuff!
So, to anyone who is following the rules of decency, I wish you luck if you are hitting up a remodel store today.
Good luck and happy shopping!
