Dollar General: Yellow Star Toys & Blue Dot Toys 50% off!

Yellow star toys and blue dot toys are 50% off through December 14th at Dollar General.  There seems to be a bit of confusion about this.  I have seen it in multiple groups where people are saying that they are clearance.  They ARE NOT clearance.

These toys are on sale right now.  Sales change and can go back to full price.  They will either go back to full price on the 15th or they will have another or different sale.

Toys don’t penny until about 3 years after they are put out in the stores.  The yellow dot toys (and other toys following yellow dot) were summer of 2016 or older.  So we would expect the next ones to penny will be 2017 … but that will probably not be until a similar time next year.

I did find a couple small Legos that are ringing up 50% off – so I am guessing that these may be following yellow star or blue dot!  There is a sale for 20% off on some sets (newer) … but these 2 rang up only $2.50 each!  These would make nice stocking stuffers!

These small sets are regularly $5.  I bought 1 of each.  I didn’t buy the following one, but it was scanning only $4.50 – regularly $9!  I know kids love blocks, so these are great deals!

These were not in the toy aisle, they were on the sky shelves, but they could be anywhere in the store.
