First try at making a panini – hoping to stop my ordering out habit!
I purchased this Hamilton Beach 25460A Panini Press Gourmet Sandwich Maker from Amazon and it arrived this past Sunday. I was excited to give it a try, so today I purchased some lunch meats and cheese to make my first panini.
It is very easy to use and you can lock the top in place. I’m very happy with it so far.
I used genoa salami, peppered turkey breast, capacola, mozzerella, colby, and some Delallo’s jarred hot banana peppers. All this on a bolillo roll. I mention the name of the brand of peppers only because I think they are much better than the standard brands in taste.
So, here is my finished product. I think it was maybe a little too thick as it didn’t get as hot in the middle as I would have liked. But that’s okay, I will try another one soon! It was quite tasty and will save me a bunch from ordering subs from the local pizzeria!
