A couple of things to note about the 30% off coupon:

It is a generic coupon that can be used multiple times.

If an item is on sale for bogo 50%, that is what the register chooses as the best discount even though 30% off is a better value. You can purchase the items individually in  separate transactions to receive the 30% off. I keep hoping Rite Aid will eventually fix that oddity.
