Have you seen the new DG digital $5 coupon for Saturday?

This past weekend, we had the $5 off $25, but it was only on select products.  It looks like Dollar General is trying to mix things up a bit.  The $5 digital coupon for this Saturday is a bit different!

First off, it looks like it is ONLY digital now.  They are trying to push everyone to get a digital account now.  I think that is a little sad, because people like my grandma won’t be able to get the savings.  It’s just too complicated for some older people.

You will have to go to your DG Digital account and add the coupon.  Then, after you purchase $20 on Saturday, you will get a $5 coupon added to your account that is good for the next week through Friday.  So you will have 6 days to use it.

I don’t see the digital online yet.  The receipt says, “see offer online for full details and exclusions”.  I honestly don’t like this new way … I don’t usually use the $5 off $25 coupon, but occasionally, I do and it’s usually a paper one from the bottom of my receipt.  I deleted Joann Fabrics and Craft Store app from my phone because they would send me an email about making another purchase to get a reward, then I’d be a day late and miss the reward time frame.  I really don’t have time for that!

A questions I have about this new DG Digital.

Will the purchase require $20 before or after coupons?  I’m thinking “after”.  I guess we will find out on Saturday unless the full details disclose this.  I will update this post when I find the new coupon available on their website.
