I have updated the video on how to use the Penny Puss APP with DG Penny Finder.

The Penny Puss APP with DG Penny Finder is the best app available for penny shopping at Dollar General, although it is not perfect.  We update it frequently and try to get the penny items in the app BEFORE they penny so that first thing on a Tuesday when there are pennies, it’s ready to use.


The app has to have 3G or 4G connection to use it.  It may not work toward the back of the store.  There are well over 7700 line entries in our app … but more likely over 10,000 items in the app due to some entries having multiple UPC’s.

The Penny Puss APP with DG Penny Finder has been around since 2014, when people wanted an app.  I finally moved it to the app stores in 2015 because some unscrupulous people were sharing the link.  That is why the price went up … and well, we feel it’s well worth $4.99 for such a large database of items.  Plus, we don’t have innundate you with ads like some free and inexpensive apps.

We run our site and our Facebook groups and page with integrity.  We do not condone any type of coupon fraud, misuse, or any type of behaviour that manipulates prices.  The penny items are set to a penny by Dollar General.  The employees are supposed to pull the penny items.  If they miss items, that is how we get them for a penny.

Please do not go into boxes and carts that they are clearly working on pulling items.  Don’t go in the backroom, and please do not remove tags!

This app is an in-store tool.  It is best used with Facebook groups and our lists.
