I have very little patience for Dollar General anymore.

The employees at my Dollar General are the best. And, I love finding deals, but I feel that Dollar General is just sloppy with the coding of their sales anymore. Coupons attach to the wrong items (which they do all the time) is just the start.

This past 3-day sale didn’t work right on most green dot and swim/summer items that should have been included. By the last day (Saturday) the deals were finally working right … but, of course, the items that I wanted were no longer available.

The ad this week is no better. I was attempting to do coupon matchups … and gave up. The Doritos digital coupon ($1 off 2) works fine, but the ad says 2 for $6 after coupon, well, NOPE … they aren’t showing on sale, so they are 2 for $6.60 after coupon. How many people are paying more than they think they are paying? And, I can hardly decipher the way that they put all the discounts together on the new receipts!

Then the cereal in this week’s ad. I was going to get the Chocolate Lucky Charms … NOPE, that particular cereal is only 2 for $5, not 3 for $6 as advertised in this week’s flyer. The Lucky Charms right next to it is 3 for $6. Why???

You pretty much need your phone with you to scan EVERY SINGLE thing that you want to purchase to be sure it is showing the right price as well as any coupons that should attach.

I’m getting burnt out from all the errors and paying more than I should due to sales and coupons not working.

Anyone else losing patience with DG?

A long while back, I was on a panel for DG … I thought it was to address problems in their stores. I mean, I like DG … sure, and I would like them to stand by their sales. But, unfortunately it was just asking about “limited edition” or “DG only” products and what I thought about them. I removed myself from that panel.

I would love for Dollar General to straighten up and start fixing their errors … as I know that I am not the only one frustrated with all the problems.

Maybe I need some more time off. /sigh/

Anyway, happy shopping … if you must!
