NEW Giant Eagle Clearance Sighting!

I’m sorry that I didn’t get this posted yesterday.  I did get the cereal deal, but clearance was better!  If you don’t know about the cereal deal that started yesterday, it’s buy 5 select items and get $5 off.  So, the total is $7.50 for 5.

$1.50 each is the final price before coupons when you buy in sets of 5.

Of course, you can do better than that!  You can use coupons to bring your total way down!

You can find coupons at Kellogg’s Family Rewards.

There are regular coupons that you print and “reward” coupons that will cost you points. I had a bunch of points so I purchased 5 coupons for $1 off products.  Note that Giant Eagle only allows 2 “like” printed coupons per day, so I had to mix it up.

2 for Kellogg’s Cereal

2 for Pop Tarts

1 for Marshmallow Rice Krispies Treats

My scenerio:

2 Pop Tarts
1 Apple Jacks
1 Frosted Flakes
1 Rice Krispies Treats
$12.50
instant $5 off
5 $1 coupons as mentioned above.
$2.50 for 5 items!

I also printed the regular coupons (the ones that don’t cost points) that are for lesser values because I was hoping that my store restocked the clearance Kellogg’s Wild Berry Froot Loops.  And, guess what? They did!  These Wild Berry Froot Loops are 87¢ at my store and have been for quite a while now.

The shelf is not marked.  I have seen clearance go back to full price though, so check on the Giant Eagle site to see if they are still clearance.  And, remember that clearance varies GREATLY from one store to the next.

With the $3 off 5 boxes, these were only 27¢ each! And, if you use the $1 off 2 they would still only be 37¢ each!  I’d suggest to print both in case they don’t have enough to use the bigger coupon.

I also bought 3 Kraft Salad Dressings. They are not on sale ($2.29 each) but one had a buy 2 get 1 free coupon attached.

The Kevita was on sale, but I still think Walmart is cheaper.

Okay, so from left to right:

GE Kettle Cooked Chips were 99¢ – this weeks eAdvantage deal.  You can only get 1.

The Pistachios were clearance $3.50.

Bumble Bee Tuna was clearance at 75% off  – only 44¢ each

The canned Valley Fresh Chicken was clearance 75% – only 49¢ each.

The Keystone Chicken and Beef were clearance 75% off – I can’t recall the actual price and I don’t have my receipt handy.  They were a little over $2 for each can.  If nothing else, it would probably make great emergency food!

Hostess Baseball Cupcakes were clearance for $1.50 a box.  (My husband took those to work).

The Land O Frost and Prime Fresh Deli Meats were in a small stand along cooler near the meat counter.  There were a bunch of marked down items in there.  I got a pack of ham and a pack of hard salami.

The Sugardale Bacon was buy one get one free.  I think there is a coupon out there, but I didn’t have it.

There were 2 types of sardines on clearance.  I only bought 2 packs … I’m not even sure if I will eat sardines!

I think that accounts for everything in my picture except for the red nutrition bar box.  These were originally $10.  I bought one for a nephew a while back.  I think they are well worth the $5 that they are now.   They come with a couple coupons.  Two of the coupons are for a free single protein drink, but I could not locate the drinks in the store.

Here is a look at what is in the box.  You can see that it is a nice selection.

So that was all for my purchases.  Here are some other clearance that I saw while I was there, but I did not purchase these items.
