Penny Colgate is back to full price now at Dollar General!

The past couple weeks, we have seen an enourmous amount of items pennied at Dollar General.
We use affiliate ads and links to help fund our site, but we are in no way affiliated with Dollar General.

The lists that the stores received (or what people are leaking, anyway) show only around 60 or so pennies for the past month. Yet, we have well over 200 new penny items added to the Penny Puss APP during that same time-frame. This is why I don’t like to add employees to our Dollar General Penny and Clearance group on Facebook! Many times we find surprise pennies LONG before they know anything about it. Is this their fault? Well, no … but Dollar General marks these items for a penny and they are fair game!

The Penny Puss APP also is updated as soon as we can to ensure you get the correct information.  Yesterday, the Colgate toothpaste that was pennied actually reset back to full price.  The Penny Puss APP was updated to show that as soon as we verified.  Our app is the most reliable source for updated penny information at Dollar General … but it really works best when you are in our group on Facebook too!

If you are new to penny shopping, please don’t run in and start asking for price checks. MANY stores will not let you purchase an item if you ask for a price check. This is considered “fishing for pennies” and they (by their policy) do not have to sell. If you take an item to the register to purchase and it rings a penny, then their policy is to sell to you, but you cannot go back for more. This is why you need to know what you are doing.
