Penny Puss – where we are … what we are doing.

I figured that I should address what I am doing and not just “slacking off”.  First, about updating the Penny Puss website:  I am trying to keep up with the Dollar General penny lists, the Dollar General remodels, updating the Penny Puss app, etc … but right now, my granddaughter is visiting for a few weeks.  I am really enjoying her company and am slipping a little on my “work time”.

Also, for those of you who have the Penny Puss app, the company that hosts the app is no longer hosting apps.  So, I am working with the new company to get switched over.  In the meantime, I cannot load any new pictures to the app.  I can only make small changes.  I don’t know if we will experience actual downtime … and I am sorry for not knowing more at this point.

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer!  I sure am so far … I am enjoying my granddaughter visiting.  She has just been here a couple of days so far, but we have been playing games and making crafts.  Yesterday, we also went to the local farmers market which is hosted on a small farm.  They had baby animals and she enjoyed seeing them.

After the farmers market, she painted (and glittered) some wooden pictures that we got at the Dollar Tree.  Did I ever tell you how much I hate glitter?  Ahhhhhh! 🤪

We have been playing some of the games that I bought on clearance at Dollar General recently.  That has definitely saved a bit of money.

When she lived back this way, she used to help me plant my garden.  But since that is already done … and coming along nicely … maybe she can help me get a couple of my Aerogarden indoor hydroponic gardens started with lettuce for summer.

Peas (on a nasturtium leaf) from my garden this year:

I am fortunate that she does like most vegetables.

Anyway …

So, as I will try to keep up as best as I can right now, my focus is a little off of our website and on spending quality time with my granddaughter.  I probably won’t see her for another year, because she lives across the country.  If you have any questions, it would be best to ask in the Facebook groups as you will probably get an answer quicker than messaging me.

Again, I will try to get things updated as much as possible, but I am sure I will be slacking a bit.

One more quick reminder: Please try to shop local and support local small businesses!

I bought some lovely mushrooms from our local Flannel Roots Farm; beautiful cut flowers from Becka’s Blooms; cowboy candy habanero peppers and fresh eggs from Redrange Farms; and fresh cream, cheese, garlic scapes, and pepper jelly from Harmony Acres farm store yesterday.

I bought the cream to make butter with my granddaughter.  I always try to throw in an educational experience here and there with my granddaughter.  I think we have made it before, but I don’t think we’ve ever made compound butter.  We might make some garlic scape butter.

Take care, be safe, and as always happy shopping!
