The Dollar General app showing pennies again!

Woo hoo!  Thank you to the ladies in our Friendly Penny Shopping group for the head up!  The Dollar General app is back to showing items that are a penny.

The past week or so has been a mess with the app.  Penny items started to scan as $0.00 or to say go to the register to find out the price, but today penny items are back to scanning as 1¢!

I only went to Dollar General for a quick in and out to check to see if the Snickers candy bar deal worked.  I had to message my husband (who was in the car) to come in because I just got a new phone and had to get a new sim card to get it to work, so I had not redownloaded the Dollar General app yet.  The candy bar was the only item I scanned today.  But after I saw the posts about the app being fixed, I did download it and scan pennies in my house … and they all show 1¢!

So, anyway, I know I am making this post longer than it really needs to be, but the Dollar General app is working again!  You cannot rely on the prices when you add items to the list in the app, the UPC will need to be scanned to show you the price.

And, of course, we have no affiliation with Dollar General, so you never know how it will scan tomorrow.
