Toastmaster Digital Pressure Cooker for over 50% off other retailers!

Walmart has the Toastmaster Digital Pressure Cooker (model TM-670PC) for sale on Walmart.com for $65.  Macy’s has it for $126.00 regular price and on sale for $87.99 right now.  Although I cannot check the model number on Macy’s site, it looks exactly like the one being sold by Walmart.  I even saw someone trying to sell one for $89.99 USED on eBay!

Dollar General has this same model with a price sticker of $60, but it has been on sale for the past few weeks for only $30!  Yes, the EXACT same item!  Plus, today, you can use the $5 off $25 coupon from the bottom of a recent DG receipt or the digital coupon to get this pressure cooker for only $25!  This is the BEST price out there!

There are 3 drawbacks with buying this appliance, however.

  1.  It does not come with a manual.  Every review that I read indicated that there is  no manual included.
  2.  It has a non-stick interior – some people do not like non-stick cookware.
  3.  You have to manually locate it in your Dollar General store.

I purchased this on a Saturday a few weeks back so I could take advantage of the $5 off $25 coupon, so I only paid $25 for mine.  I didn’t realize how good this deal really was though until I started using it.  As I said, there is no user manual in the box, but you can follow recipes that people post for the Instant Pot as the buttons seem to be the same.

If your store has these, they could be anywhere.  Look on the top shelves as this is where I keep seeing them.

Also, as I said, the user manual was not in the box.  You can get that here:

I cooked Kielbasa and sauerkraut in mine and it only took 20 minutes cook time to be as tender as an hour and a half cooking in the oven!  That is impressive to me.

I turned on “saute” and put some caraway seeds in the bottom.  When they started to warm and get a little fragrant, I added a bit of olive oil and a sliced onion.  I cooked the onion a little then added the kielbasa to brown slightly.  Then I poured a can of sauerkraut over it and added a 1/2 can of water.  That’s it.  I put it on “stew” for 20 minutes.  Recipes varied online … but since I was using larger chunks of kielbasa, I extended the time from what other recipes stated.

I then let it sit for 10 minutes more before manually releasing the steam.

My husband isn’t a big fan of kielbasa and sauerkraut, but he was impressed too.  It was sweeter and I think it was due to the onion and the cooking process.  Melt in your mouth, fork tender, sweet kielbasa in 20 minutes cooking time!
