Walmart is discontinuing Savings Catcher.

Honestly, I find that it was pretty much useless to me when they said that produce and meat weren’t included.  Aldi’s usually has better prices on produce and so do our local groceries during a sale.  I don’t buy a lot prepackaged foods to bother with it.  So, while they claim they were winning on best prices … it was only on the select groceries that were included.  I know they want to sound like they have the lowest prices, but they really don’t anymore.

Here is the letter that I received in my email.

There were so many exclusions that I didn’t even bother adding my receipts anymore.  I also didn’t like the items on my receipts being added to my Walmart account prior purchases.  It started really gumming things up that I couldn’t look through my orders that I purchased for pickup.  Anyway, I don’t really care that it’s gone.  I like to shop at the small grocery store in town … but I know that I end up at Walmart now and then to get stuff that I can’t find at some stores.  And, I do the grocery pickup once in a while too.  But I am pretty picky about my veggies and such, so I prefer to just shop in the store.
