What is a Dollar General NCI home store? DG Finds
Since we had a huge NCI home store Dollar General penny list this past Tuesday (and lots and lots of surprise pennies), I have been asked over and over as to what is an NCI store and how to find one.
A Dollar General NCI home store is a store that has a lot more “home” merchandise. There is usually a sign in the middle of the store that says “home”.
NCI is an acronym that stands for non-consumable initiative. In other words, more “non-consumable” products such as dishes, towels, and rugs (for instance). Consumable products are items that you consume or use up, such as foods and personal products.
To find an NCI “home” store near you, open your Dollar General app and go to store locator. You should see the word “filter” at the top right. Tap that and choose “DG Finds” to find your local NCI stores.
If you are looking for the NCI penny lists, they are here with the ongoing list:
Ongoing Dollar General Penny Lists
NCI only lists are marked as such. All lists as well as the Penny Puss app with Dollar General Penny Finder are only guides. Items are NOT a penny unless they actually ring up as a penny. You an check this with Dollar General’s app to verify. Be sure your store is set on the correct location and scan the items with the DG app. Go to the “list” tab and you will see a barcode in the top right. Tap that and scan.
If you are having trouble scanning, you can try putting the UPC in manually above the scanning box.
Also, you can try connecting to their in store internet as “store customer”.
I hope this helps.
Happy shopping!
