Dollar General: All the pennies I found this past weekend!

As most of you know, Dollar General had a clearance event this past weekend.  From what I heard, the stores are no longer supposed to put out the totes due to them not promoting social distancing.  Well, at least one store did not get that memo.

I went through about 6 totes … it was hot and my husband and I were both tired.  So, I know I missed quite a few pennies.  But, here is what I did get:

All of these (with UPC’s) are in the Penny Puss App with DG Penny Finder.  The app is changing a bit.  It was first introduced at the end of 2014.  I have always been the only one to update it as me and others would try to verify the items before I added them.  My app was known as the Penny Puss Penny Finder App, but I refer to my app now as “Penny Puss App with DG Penny Finder” to kind of distance myself from another app.

Anyway, with the Dollar General App now showing prices in realtime, there is no need to scan an item into a 3rd party app before scanning the item with the Dollar General App.  The Penny Puss APP with DG Penny Finder, however, is a nice tool to look browse from home to look for old pennies.  It is  also only a $2.99 one-time fee.  You can find it under “Penny Puss” in the app stores.
