Dollar General Clearance Event – extra 50% off!

Get yourself and your coupons ready for the upcoming Dollar General Clearance Event!  The clearance event runs from Friday, June 12 through Sunday, June 14.  You can get an extra 50% off the clearance prices!

Included in this clearance event are:

  • Clearance section
  • POG clearance
  • Purple dot home & beauty
  • Memorial Day

Some stores may vary and may have a larger percentage off … or the clearance may run longer.  Most stores are usually included, but you can check with your store to find out.  This is also a great time to go looking for Dollar General penny items!  Sometimes the employees take stuff out of the backroom and put it out “on the floor” for these clearance events … and many times you can find pennies!  Some stores put gray totes out … if you feel like a little work, look through those for pennies!

Remember to check your receipts as items don’t always ring correctly.  If you want to check Friday morning before going to the store, I will include some UPC’s that you can scan with the Dollar General App from home.  You can gauge the clearance at your store by knowing the price and percentage off before … and then Friday morning.  Be sure to change the store location (in the app) for which one you are checking.

Kraft Hickory Smoke Barbecue Sauce is showing as 77¢ this morning (during the extra clearance).

Please remember that it is NOT the store or employees fault if items do not ring up as clearance.  They should override if the items are in clearance.  I say that … but sometimes items end up in clearance accidentally.  If the items are definitely staged in the clearance section, then they should override.  Some stores won’t though.

It’s best to scan everything that you want with the Dollar General App to see what the price is.  It’s hectic enough with Covid-19 precautions, please be kind and understanding to/with the employees.
