Dollar General Penny Halloween Oreos!

I didn’t get to go out penny shopping at Dollar General this morning.  My husband slipped and fell the other day taking the trash cans down to the alley, and he landed on his hand and arm.  He’s been in pain and can’t raise his arm up more than half way.  He was trying to get an appointment at an orthopedic clinic this morning, so I stayed home to see what was going on.

He did get an appointment.  They did an xray and gave him a cortisone shot.  He took a couple vacation days so he won’t have to go back to work until Monday.  And, hopefully his arm will be a bit better by then.  So, anyway, I did run into Dollar General late afternoon or early evening … around 3 pm to grab a newspaper, but you know I had to look!

There was no candy or Halloween left in the aisles where it was originally, but I found a couple decorations hanging here and there.  But this is my awesome find!  I got 8 packs of Halloween Oreos on an end cap!  I scanned it in both Dollar General App and the DG Go App to be sure it was a penny!  I also gave one to the cashier.

I know I’ve seen lots of nice hauls in the groups and I’m glad everyone got a little something today.  If you didn’t, maybe you’ll have better luck next time.  I feel quite lucky that there was actually something good left this late in the day.
