Dollar General Penny List for Dec 3rd – CONFIRMED!

The scheduled Dollar General penny list that is scheduled for December 3rd is yellow dot toys.  But, there is more!  If you just go by other sites and look only for the yellow dots, you will be missing out!

Why, you ask?  Well, we know at Dollar General that that there are always exclusions, but did you also know that there are also “inclusions”  of mismarked items … especially with toys!

If you are new to Dollar General penny shopping, please go to PennyPussAPP.com and check out the basics.  I cannot stress enough how important that is!  You do not have to purchase the Penny Puss App with DG Penny Finder, but it’s a one-time nominal fee and we keep track of clearance categories in it.  We do not have “all” previously found pennies in it anymore, as you can check prices in realtime using either of these two Dollar General Apps.

Do I need an app to penny shop at Dollar General?

There is absolutely no reason to send all your pictures and UPC’s to a 3rd party app.

Here is a screenshot of the Penny Puss APP with DG Penny Finder to give you an idea of how it can help you with clearance and penny shopping at Dollar General.

Clearance percentages:

  • Green star shoes and pink clover clothing seem to be surprise pennies today!  Use your DG app to see if they are confirmed at your store!  Just remember that the  Penny Puss APP with DG Penny Finder is just a guide as is ANY OTHER 3rd party app.

  • Green square summer shoes are still at 50¢ each … I found a bunch yesterday!
  • Summer Stationery 50% off.
  • Harvest 50% off.
  • Red Dot/ Back to School 25% off.

So, back to the yellow dot toys.  There are a lot of other toys without yellow dots that are being found at 90%, which we believe from experience are following yellow dot toys.  So, yes, these items “should” penny along with the yellow dot toys on Tuesday morning.  Be sure to check back on Tuesday morning as we try to verify the list BEFORE Dollar General opens in the morning.  Remember though, this penny list does not go into effect until Tuesday morning, there is no early activation on pennies.

UPDATE: CONFIRMED 12/3 yellow dot toys and other toys following yellow dot are now a penny!

Also, look for “big” items with the yellow dot!

Check the toy shopping carts for yellow dots!

Check kid’s boxed table and chairs too for yellow dots!

And, don’t forget plush!  Some “yellow dots” look brown.

You can now scan in realtime with Dollar General’s own apps.  See link above for what apps I recommend.

Here are some of the toys that are being found at 90% that do not have the yellow dot or have some other color/shape symbol.  If you find these items, scan with the Dollar General App or the DG Go App.

Air Micro Drone – plain yellow tag.

Unmarked plush character balls.

Many of the toys that seem to be following are from the year 2016.  As you can see on this tag F16 – which means fall of 2016.  Toys penny approximately 3 years after they are introduced.  But not everything pennies.  So, again, I say to scan them for realtime prices.

Additionally, I would like to say that there are many similar items at Dollar General.  Some items are almost identical, but have a different barcode.  One may be a penny and the other is not.  This can really confuse new clearance and penny shoppers.

These are unmarked and ringing 90% as of 12/1:

Doc McStuffin Mirror ringing up 90% as of 12/1.  This one has a “peel here” sticker.  Also, an S16 date box.

Here you can see a plain “peel here” sticker.  It scanned 90% as of 12/1.

You can scan one of these UPC’s with the Dollar General App on Tuesday morning to verify.

Some of the included Monster High Dolls have yellow dots, but others that are also ringing 90% are blue dots!

Blue dot Blue Hat Thunder Tumbler – I got 3 of these yesterday for only $1 each.  I wasn’t waiting for them to penny.

These blue dot puzzles are ringing 90% too.

I hope the pictures will help a bit.  Remember that it’s always YMMV … “your mileage may vary”.  Plus, remember that these are OLDER toys and may be sold out in your area by now.
