Dollar General Penny List for Feb 14!

The Dollar General Penny List for February 14, 2023 is only four items, but it’s quite possible that we will have surprise pennies too.

In case you don’t know what surprise pennies are, they are items that penny that the stores don’t know about.  The stores get a list of scheduled pennies to pull from the shelves, but surprise pennies are just that “surprises” usually found by customers.  These are sometimes easier to find due to the employees not knowing about them.

 

How do you find surprise pennies?  Using the Dollar General app, scan item UPC’s in the clearance area and on end caps.  If the item scans a penny that was not scheduled, then you found a surprise penny!   Unless, of course, it pennied previously.

So, here is the penny list for Tuesday, February 14th:

  • Clover Valley Mostaccioli pasta product 190484002413

  • Hostess Bouncers Cinnamon Donettes 888109250508

There is a coupon for $1.50 off Hostess Bouncers in the DG app!  This will most likely NOT give overage for new register systems!

  • Ameri Cookies “Patriotic” single cookies 811229035397

NOTE: Ameri Cookies is a brand of cookies, there are several different kinds including Valentine’s Day – only the “Patriotic” cookies are supposed to go to a penny.

  • Kit Kat Blueberry Muffin flavored candy bar 34000404292

While the Blueberry Kit Kats were originally in the cardboard display shown, they could be mixed in with other stuff now.  Look on end caps or seasonal shelves for these.

Also, Valentine balloons should penny on WEDNESDAY – they day AFTER Valentine’s Day.  That is usually the case with balloons that they penny the day after the holiday.  Remember that Dollar General also has regular heart balloons as a core (year round) item, so not all heart balloons will penny.

Use your Dollar General app to verify all prices.  We have no affiliation with Dollar General and only know for certain that items will penny when we they are purchased at the register.

Also, some stores may be a bit behind and not penny on Tuesday morning.  I am not sure how the new system registers are working now.  Just remember that you may have to put your items back if they do not ring up correctly.  It is NOT the employees fault.  Please be kind and do not make a mess (or a bigger mess) of the store.
