Dollar General Penny List for November 3rd!

The Dollar General penny list for Tuesday, November 3rd, is huge!  Most of the seasonal categories that have been 70-90% off should penny this coming Tuesday.  Some hidden items that have been following are also included.

Remember that we have no affiliation with Dollar General and we only know if something actually pennies the same way that you do.  Scan with the Dollar General app to see if the items did penny first thing on Tuesday morning.

If you do not have any UPC’s lying around, you can go to the following link and scan the UPC’s with the Dollar General app to see if the categories pennied at your store:

Clearance Percentages – select UPC’s for seasonal categories in this post.

Here are the seasonal items that should penny this Tuesday:

  • Red Dot Home
  • Green Dot Home
  • Lawn and Garden
  • Yellow Star Toys
  • Swim and Summer Pink Square
  • Non-core Insecticides (Go here for the list: Non-core Insecticides)
  • Patriotic
  • Yellow and White Dot Clothing, Shoes, and Accessories
  • Green Star Apparel

(Be careful as there are NEW non-clearance items out now too.  Scan with the Dollar General app to see prices in real time.)

There are many items that are included in these categories that do not have the “coded” tags.  There are also items that are excluded from seasonal clearance.

Some items that should penny Tuesday along with the red dot seasonal are the red-handled O-Cedar mops, the locker totes, the 80 quart clear bin with the aqua lid, the peach dot totes, and the Snack Pak bag.

Also, purple dot pillows are following red dot.  This is just one example.

There are additional pillows including gray gusseted pillows that look like these:

Also, there are plain blue quilted pillows and gray quilted pillows that have purple dot tags and are following red dot.

There are two TrueLiving rugs that are also following red dot markdowns and should penny with red dot.  Look for 2 x 3 and 3 x 5 with the following UPC’s:

Rug colors may vary.

I don’t know of any unmarked items following green dot, but be sure to look for the green dot flowers.

They may or may not be in the original display.

For lawn and garden, don’t forget rakes, hoes, landscaping fabric, bird feeders, and wind chimes.

Additionally there are some select bird foods included included 2 lb bags of Audubon “no waste” and “fruit, nut, and berry” and a bell-shaped sunflower feeder.

These 24-can soft-side coolers are included, but most coolers, grills, fans, and charcoal are NOT included.

Don’t forget to look around the “grill cart” to see if there is any of the Kingsford Grill Cleaner or other utensils “hiding” in plain site.

Again, scan as sometimes there are items that are not include.

Although I do not have everything in the Penny Puss App with DG Penny Finder, I am trying to get it updated with as many pictures as I can.  You can find it in the app stores under Penny Puss.  It is no longer for scanning, but more for just reference as the Dollar General app can scan now, so why would you scan the item with our app then their app?  Doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Okay, back to what you are looking for.  Lawn and garden is not marked with any color coded symbol.  Check for planters and garden decor too.  Also, the blue and white vases as well as the Bella Mason colored vases are also following lawn and garden.

There are a few unmarked items following yellow star toys.  Again, scan with the Dollar General app to be sure.  These are just some of what I found.

Small boxes of Classic Legos as shown are following yellow star toys too, but there are similar ones that are full price.

These pictures are just to give you an idea of what to look for.  If you are new to penny shopping at Dollar General, it is best to have some idea of what to scan … you can’t just scan everything in the store with the Dollar General app, but if you have an idea of what you are looking for it makes it a lot easier.  Always keep in mind that if you go to a different store, you must change the location in the Dollar General app, because prices do sometimes vary.

I hope everyone who is shopping finds lots of goodies!

I’d like to add a gentle reminder to please not make a mess in the stores.  The employees have enough to do without cleaning up our messes.  Also, be kind as some employees try hard to remove penny items and may be disappointed that they didn’t get them all.  That is there job and they may take pride in doing it well.  But since most of the employees are busy, AND these items could be anywhere in the store, they don’t always get them all pulled.  Plus, there are a bunch of unmarked and sometimes even surprise pennies.

Happy shopping and have fun!
