Dollar General Penny List for Tuesday, March 1st!

The penny list for this coming Tuesday at Dollar General is Valentine’s Day.  That might not sound too wonderful to you, but in fact, it is!  Valentine’s Day consists of much more than just actual Valentine’s Day items.

Other items that should be included in the Valentine’s Day penny list:

  • Holiday juice (which is Welch’s Sparkling Grape Juice – red and white)
  • Herr’s Cheeseballs and Pretzel clear barrels (not to be confused with Utz’s)
  • Purple Dot Gift Sets held over from Christmas (some exclusions)
  • Candy that was heldover from Christmas
  • And, of course, Valentine’s candy, decor, and party

Although the scheduled list does include “apparel”, I don’t think Valentine’s Day leggings, shirts, or pajamas will be included as they didn’t mark down.  You never know though, just scan with the DG app and check.

These are half-price right now and believed to be following Valentine’s Day, so we are pretty sure they will penny too:

Purple tagged gift sets:

Be sure to look for the purple price tag on gift sets and then verify in the Dollar General app for price.  Penny items will come up as $0.00 when scanned.

As I mentioned, some items will be excluded.  There are some gift sets that are not marking down and will most likely still ring up full price.  Here are a few that we know about:

We have no affiliation with Dollar General and they can change their plans and reset items as they please.  Items go to a penny so the store knows which items to pull.  They are supposed to pull them and remove them from the sales floor.  We get what they miss.
