Here are some suggestions from me on Penzeys:

Tsardust is great on sweet potato fries.

Northwoods is great on baked salmon.  And for coleslaw, I use Hellmann’s Mayo, a splash of vinegar, about 5 packets of stevia, and some of the California Seasoned Pepper to taste.  Let is sit for a while to combine well.  I have as far back as I can remember used a shredded green pepper in my coleslaw, it makes a wonderful difference in taste, but you have to let the dressing sit at least a few hours to take on the flavor.  The California Seasoned Pepper is a nice substitute when I don’t have a fresh pepper in the house.

The last time that I made pickled eggs, I used Ozark.  They were awesome!  I have some beets in my fridge that I think I will roast tonight and make these again.  I used 6 roasted beets, 14 eggs, 1 1/2 tsp Penzeys Ozark, 1 c sugar, 2 cups water, and 1 c cider vinegar, but I think I will only make about half of this recipe because I am not giving any away this time.

I also found this recipe that I made a while back, but I don’t have picture.  It was really good.  I need to go to the grocery store to get a few things, I guess I need to try to find a poblano pepper.  I think I have the rest of the ingredients.

Creamy tomato soup with poblano pepper
2 cans fire roasted tomatoes
6 fresh basil leaves – rolled and sliced thin
1 diced poblano pepper
Penzeys Justice seasoning (seasoned very liberally!)
Penzeys celery salt (just a pinch)
Penzeys black pepper – shaker grind is the best! (couple shakes)
Penzeys smoked paprika (just a pinch)
3 tablespoons sucanat cane sugar (you could substitute other sugar, it’s just what I have in my house from making water kefir)
8 oz brick of Philadelphia cream cheese

Add cream cheese at the end just to mix into the hot soup.  I am not really much for recipes unless I am baking.  Most of my cooking is just throwing what sounds good together.  And sometimes looking over a few recipes and then mixing it up.  When I am baking though, I don’t really know how to change things up, so I do pretty much go by a recipe.

Anyway, I hope you like Penzeys as much as I do!

Happy shopping!
