Dollar General All Digital, $5 off $25 scenarios, Saturday, August 29

Dollar General

All these deals are valid Saturday 8/29/20. Using the $5 off $25 coupon.

There are literally a million possible combinations. I certainly can not list them all. I try to make up some ideas and use mostly different items in the scenarios.  Mix and Match the items based on what you want. Digital coupons are ONE TIME USE!

I have more info below for people new to Dollar General.

Check out my post with lots of great individual digital deals valid this week

This first deal is good for newbies since it uses all new digital coupons so everyone is more likely to have them.

This next scenario is good for diapers. Not super low oop, but a good price for all you get.

And the next one for training pants. Makes each pack of training pants just over $5 each.

A completely free scenario

One for cats. Please note, I accidentally show the expired  $2.50 Rachael Ray cat food coupon, instead of the current $2 digital. So the final cost will be 50 cents more.

One for dogs

Most of the digitals in the next two scenarios, expire this week. Last chance to use them before they expire.

How to use digital coupons at Dollar General:

  • Go to the DG App or DG Coupons on their website and make an account with your email and phone number.
  • “Clip” the coupons to your account.
  • When making a purchase, enter your phone number into the pin pad while the cashier scans your items.
  • Once you have entered your phone number, the cashier can hit total and your digitals will deduct.

If using a $5 off $25 coupon, your total needs to be at least $25, BEFORE coupons but AFTER instant savings. Tax does not count toward the $25 total. Hand over any manufacturer paper coupons after digitals have applied.

If using a $5 off $25 paper coupon, have the cashier scan it prior to applying digital coupons. Then enter your phone number for digital coupons to apply. Last, hand over any manufacturer paper coupons.

  • Not everyone will have every digital. You may not have received it. Or you didn’t clip it in time. Or you already used it.
  • Prices may vary by location or items may be on clearance. So the price I show may be different than at your store.
  • I strongly encourage you to use the DG app to scan items at your store to verify price and coupon is attaching properly.
  • Occasionally the app does not show a coupon attaching when scanned from home, but will when scanned at the store. If I have it in a scenario I confirmed it at time of posting.
  • Occasionally in your app “list” it will not deduct the $5/$25 coupon for your final cost. It happens to me but it does indeed deduct at the register!
  • Digital coupons are one time use!

Use these scenarios as guides. Mix and Match items you want and have coupons for.

**Scan items with the app to double check you have the digital coupon clipped and it is still attaching properly.**
